Foundation degrees - injecting expertise, building capacity for the future

For the past three years, we have run an Early Years Foundation degree programme in partnership with Kingston University. We are excited to offer a Foundation degree in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Practice (SENIP) from September 2023. This degree provides training to enhance students' professional expertise and enables them to work towards a degree and the possibility of Qualified Teacher Status in the future.

To obtain a Foundation degree, students must:

- work 16 hours or more in a education context where they are supporting students with SEN

- commit to attending course sessions from 4-9pm on a Wednesday evening in Feltham

- complete coursework relating to 6 modules each year for 2 years

The SENIP Foundation degree is the equivalent of the first two years of an undergraduate degree (level 4 and level 5 qualifications). Students will then have the option to complete a third year with Kingston University to obtain to full bachelors degree.
