We are delighted that the Institute for Teaching has been launched this week in Manchester. The Institute was founded by eight schools, including Reach, in order to make a contribution to training and developing more exceptional teachers.
Ed represented the school in Manchester as chair of the School’s Advisory Group and member of the Board. He said: “I am delighted to see the Institute launch after two years of work. We are looking forward to our teachers taking the different courses on offer and even joining the staff of the Institute in the coming years.”
Reach’s role in the Institute’s foundation was recognised in Director Matt Hood’s opening address, and features in this article in the TES about the launch. The Secretary of State, Justine Greening, also spoke at the launch.
