Last week, the new local school, Reach Academy Feltham, was celebrated at a reception at 10 Downing Street. The Prime Minister, David Cameron, congratulated Principal Ed Vainker on the school’s opening. He thanked pupils, parents and staff for their hard work so far.
Secretary of State for Education, Michael Gove, described the school as, “Innovative and exciting, offering a great new choice to parents in Feltham.”
Principal Ed Vainker is delighted that the school has been recognised: “We have made a brilliant start to our first school year and pupils in Year 7 and Reception have already made a great deal of progress. Our survey results show that both pupils and parents are delighted with the school, and we have a strong foundation to build on.”
Reach Academy Feltham is a state-funded school that will educate children from four years old all the way to 18. It is small, with only 60 pupils in each year, with the highest aspirations for pupils’ success and high expectations of behaviour. The school is currently based at Bridge House on Hanworth Road. In 2014, it wll move to Fern House, opposite Tesco on the Hanworth Road.
The school welcomes any prospective parents and students to visit. A new cohort of Year 7 and Reception pupils will join the school in 2014. If you would like to arrange a visit please contact the school on 020 3551 9305. To apply for a place at Reach Academy simply complete the Common Application Form, available from Hounslow Civic Centre or the school itself either in person or at www.reachacademyfeltham.com.

Such a lovely review from one of our Year 11 parents written on her last day of GSCEs last week:
Reach Academy is a school in a million. The staff are amazing, thoughtful, kind, caring, equal, helpful, understanding, supportive, fun the list can go on. As parents of a child who's last day in yr11 is today :-( and a parent of a child in yr 7 I can't not say enough good things about the staff and school. Thank you to all the staff who have worked day and night in helping our children. Would recommend Reach to everyone. ... See MoreSee Less
