Support our Christmas Book Drive

See the letter from Year 9 pupil, Josh to our friends and supporters:

Dear friend of Reach,

Christmas at Reach is an important time of year when we all come together to celebrate what each of us brings to make our community to special. It is also a time of year when we give thanks and think of those less fortunate than ourselves.

We have been collecting food and donating it to our local food bank over the festive period. We have also been campaigning for local supermarkets to donate their damaged products to families in need in the local area. Our students have served mince pies at the annual Storehouse Toy Event which donates secondhand toys as Christmas presents for families who are struggling financially in Feltham. We also have a Christmas jumper day coming up and all monies raised will support SPEAR – a local Richmond-based homelessness charity.

Christmas is also the perfect time of year to cosy down with a good book and here at Reach Academy our Drop Everything And Read time is the most precious time of the day. This year we have compiled a wishlist of all of the books we would love to have in our library.

Hopefully, you could have a little word with Santa and his helpers and ask him if he could make our Christmas wish come true by stocking our library full of all of these wonderful books in time for Christmas so that we can spend the holidays travelling to far away lands and losing ourselves in different cultures, times and lives.

In order to help out all you have to do is send Santa this link. You’ll also need to tell him our address which is Reach Academy Feltham, 53-55 High Street, Feltham, Middlesex, TW13 4HU.

Wishing you a very merry Christmas from everyone at Reach Academy. http://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/3BIFN3OEUOUBN
